Chris Herren joins Jim & Margery on GBH Boston Public Radio

Chris Herren joined Jim Braude and Margery Eagan at the Newsfeed Cafe in the Boston Public Library on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 for their radio show on Boston Public Radio GBH (89.7 FM).

Chris was part of a panel discussion that also included former Del Fuegos drummer Woody Giessmann, who is now an interventionist and recovery advocate in the Boston area.

The 30-minute conversation, based on the foundation of recovery, explored both Chris and Woody's journeys to sobriety touching on topics that included prevention, the first day, the term "rock bottom", the use of GLP-1s to treat substance use disorder, and when and how to help someone you love seek help.
